About MeNow a resident of Nashville, Tennessee, 16 year old Elli Rowe grew up in Minnesota surrounded by music. She spent several years following her parents around the upper midwest as they played in the bluegrass band, “Copper Creek.” In Minnesota she was a member of the Minnesota Bluegrass and Old Time Music Association (MBOTMA) where she was very involved in the Grass Seeds program which held instructional camps for kids at several of their festivals. She is a two time winner of the annual MBOTMA talent contest and was proud to be able to have earned a spot on the main performers stage. She has travelled to music festivals since she was little but has stretched her wings and found her own artistry. She was chosen as songwriter from over 1,000 applicants for GRAMMY Camp Nashville in 2017, as well as GRAMMY Camp LA in 2018. Elli had the pleasure of having one of her songs cut by The Kenny and Amanda Smith Band on their latest album, "Unbound" .The song,
"Reaching Out" climbed to #1 on the Bluegrass Unlimited Charts in 2017. Her personal inspirations in music are spread across the board, from folk such as Gillian Welch and The Milk Carton Kids, to bluegrass acts such as Molly Tuttle or Nickle Creek, to funk and jazz like Hiatus Kaiyote and Moonchild, and any music that speaks honest and true. |
